Rockstar has released 12 new GTA 6 screenshots via Edge issue 430, showing Lucia, Jason, VCPD's Méndez, natural scenery and the Vice City skyline.

Rumour. An unverified leak or claim. Treat it with caution until Rockstar speaks.

Rockstar Games has put out a fresh set of 12 GTA 6 screenshots. They were published alongside the new cover feature in Edge Magazine, and Rockstar Intel reported the release on October 29. According to the site, none of these images appeared in the earlier batches Rockstar shared over the past month or so. They show protagonists Lucia and Jason up close, along with Méndez of the Vice City Police Department, a few nature scenes and a view of the Vice City skyline.

Where the images come from

The screenshots belong to Edge issue 430, the magazine's Christmas 2026 edition. The digital issue is out now, and print copies should reach subscribers, bookshops and newsstands next month. Rockstar Intel says the images go with a 16-page cover story built around interviews with senior designers at Rockstar. We covered the main points from that feature in our write-up of the Edge cover story on Leonida's scale and its 600,000 NPC animations.

Rockstar has been doing this a lot as launch gets closer. Instead of one big drop, it has been handing new material to individual outlets, so screenshots and details now show up in pieces across magazines and media partners. Each outlet gets something exclusive, and fans have a reason to keep checking several places.

What stands out

The close-up character shots are the most interesting part. So far Lucia and Jason have mostly appeared in trailers and wider promotional art, so tighter framing gives a better look at character models, skin detail and lighting. Méndez is a VCPD character, and seeing her up close suggests the police side of the story will be more than background scenery.

The nature shots and the skyline image show both ends of Leonida. Rockstar has said the state mixes dense city with swamps, coastline and countryside, and these images show that range in still form. Players who like spending time in the open world without a mission running will get a sense of the scenery they'll be exploring.

What else is happening

Rockstar Intel also says GTA 6 review copies have gone out to media outlets and that the game's download size will be very large. The report didn't give an exact figure, and Rockstar hasn't announced one, so we're treating the size as unconfirmed for now. If review copies are out, full reviews are likely coming soon, which means much more of the game will be described in detail.

If you're on the music side of the countdown, the soundtrack is also getting its own release: Justice's GTA 6 original score arrives on December 11.

You can read the Edge feature with all 12 screenshots in the digital edition of issue 430 now. Print copies follow in the coming weeks.
