GTA 6 comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rockstar Games has confirmed that date. Outlets that have read the PlayStation Store listing report that the game unlocks at midnight local time in each region, not at one moment worldwide. That puts New Zealand first and Mexico and Central America last. No PC version has been announced.

When does GTA 6 come out?

On November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Fast Company Brasil notes that Rockstar has confirmed the date for both consoles, and PCGamesN reports that it held after the August Netflix gameplay reveal and the leaks that followed. Pre-orders opened on June 25, LevelUp reports. There's no disc in the boxed edition, only a download code, Vandal notes. So physical and digital buyers get in at the same unlock time.

What time does GTA 6 unlock?

At midnight local time on November 19, wherever you are. GTAVice first spotted the PlayStation Store timestamps, Gfinity reports. Notebookcheck stresses that Rockstar hasn't announced these times itself. GTAVice counted 15 release windows, running from 11:00 UTC on November 18 to 06:00 UTC on November 19. According to PCGamesN, a country that spans several time zones goes live all at once, as soon as its earliest zone reaches midnight.

These are the regional groupings published by MP1st:

AustraliaAEDT
Japan, South KoreaJST, KST
Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, TaiwanUTC+8
Indonesia, ThailandUTC+7

United States, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, PeruUTC-5
Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, NicaraguaCST

One caveat: MP1st's list prints November 18 for every region east of the UK. That contradicts every other outlet, which all describe a midnight unlock on November 19, and it even clashes with MP1st's own headline about a 19-hour head start. In May, Guru3D reported a very different schedule (8:00 AM in the UK and 1:00 PM in the US on launch day), but the September store reporting doesn't back it up.

GTA 6 launch time in the US and Canada

According to Notebookcheck, the game unlocks at 12:00 AM Eastern on November 19, which it gives as 05:00 UTC. Because the whole country goes live together, players on Central, Mountain and Pacific time get in before midnight on their own clocks. Vandal points out that the US gets the game after Europe and well after Asia.

GTA 6 launch time in the UK and Europe

The UK, Ireland, Portugal and Iceland unlock at midnight GMT on November 19. Spain, France, Germany and the rest of the CET group unlock at midnight local time, and Notebookcheck says 19 European regions go live together. Countries on UTC+2, such as Greece, Finland and Romania, also unlock at midnight on their own clocks. No source publishes UTC times for the European unlocks. For a sense of the spread, Gfinity says it will be noon on November 18 in Germany when New Zealand goes live.

GTA 6 launch time in Mexico, Latin America and Brazil

In Brazil, GTA 6 unlocks at 0h Brasília time on November 19. Fast Company Brasil, citing IGN Brasil, says the Brazilian PlayStation Store lists this as 03:00 UTC. According to MP1st, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay are in the same time zone. Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru unlock at midnight UTC-5, alongside US Eastern. Mexico and Central America unlock at midnight CST, the last in the world, as Vandal and LevelUp both report. That fits the 06:00 UTC end of GTAVice's window.

Which country gets GTA 6 first?

New Zealand, at midnight NZDT on November 19 (11:00 UTC on November 18). Sources disagree slightly on the gap between the first and last unlocks: MP1st and Vandal say 19 hours, while IGN Brasil says about 20.

MP1st, Gfinity and Notebookcheck all say Xbox players can switch their console region to New Zealand and start early. PS5 is harder, because PlayStation Store purchases are tied to the account's country. Gfinity says you would need a separate New Zealand account and a second purchase. Fast Company Brasil warns that switching regions isn't an official early access feature and may not work for GTA 6. Notebookcheck and GTA BOOM both say pre-orders get no early access on either console.

If you're avoiding spoilers, Vandal and Guru3D both expect story clips to spread before the Americas get in. Vandal adds that Rockstar puts the game at around 80 hours, so the ending should stay safe for a while.

When GTA 6 pre-loads start

Digital pre-orders can start downloading on November 12, according to Gfinity, Notebookcheck and Fast Company Brasil. LevelUp reports the same date from the tracking account PlayStation Size. The code-in-box physical copies are expected to ship around then, and their codes work for pre-loading too. PlayStation Size puts the PS5 install at about 210 GB, a figure Rockstar hasn't confirmed, and the Xbox size is unknown. Our pre-load and download size guide covers this in detail.

How much GTA 6 costs in each country

In the US, the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99, according to Vandal and GTA BOOM. GTA BOOM, a community site, has published local store prices for other major markets:

MarketStandardUltimate
United States$79.99$99.99

Eurozone€79.99€99.99

GTA BOOM describes the Ultimate Edition as adding cosmetics, extra vehicles and weapons, two exclusive side-mission lines and some in-game shops. It also reports no collector's edition, no Game Pass release at launch and no official console bundle from Sony, Microsoft or Rockstar, although some retailers are bundling the game themselves. GTA BOOM warns that buying from a cheaper country's store breaks PlayStation and Xbox terms of service and puts your account at risk. On the $80 price, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said calling it an "incredible bargain" is a "gross understatement," MP1st reports. Our price and editions guide lists what each edition includes.

The GTA 6 PC release question

No PC version has been announced. Zelnick said that Rockstar "will make more announcements in due time," according to PCGamesN. In October, GamesBeat cited four industry sources in reporting a PC launch between January and March 2027, LevelUp notes. Analyst Michael Pachter told the BBC that the PC version would follow 6 or 7 months after the console launch, but he didn't explain why. Journalist Andy Robinson suggests Rockstar wants to bring the PC version forward because of the hardware crisis. Our PC release guide tracks every claim.

GTA Online and the November 19 launch

There's no online mode on day one. In a blog post, Rockstar called GTA 6 "a single-player experience," Gfinity reports. Vandal says Rockstar will talk about the next GTA Online later. No date has been given.
